James Halliday – "This flagship shiraz comes via hand-picked fruit, 100% whole bunches, wild fermented and matured 10 months in 2 new French oak puncheons. While it's not a blockbuster, it is built to age. The oak is overt, needing to settle, so it's somewhat smoky and meaty. Yet allowing it to breathe reveals a core of dark fruit, all spicy and peppery, with textural, slightly drying tannins. It is savoury, complex and will reward the patient drinker." Jane Faulkner

The Wine Front – Crushed blue and purple fruit, plenty of spice, almost an incense perfume, also quite meaty. It’s meaty and sappy, juicy blue and red fruit, a tickle of Co2 spritz here too, kind of glassy ‘mineral’ acidity and feel, light graphite tannin, and a sappy/meaty/juicy finish of solid length. It’s quite the little thing. Frisky! - Gary Walsh (The Wine Front)
James Halliday – "A blend of grenache/gamay/cabernet franc. Fermented with 100% whole bunches and matured in older French puncheons. A light bright crimson. Lively with red fruits, pomegranate and dried herbs. Light- to medium-bodied with silky smooth tannins, there's also a juicy succulence to the mid-palate, making it ideal for chilling slightly. Very nicely put together and well priced to boot." - Philip Rich (Halliday Wine Companion)
James Halliday – “80/20% chardonnay/pinot noir. Charmat method, with the NV wine sitting on full lees in tank. 6g/L dosage. A pale, bright green gold. Excellent bang for your buck here. Citrus, honey, some red fruits and just enough freshly baked biscuits to make it interesting. The palate is just dry enough, finishing clean and crisp.” Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion 2022
