World Wine – Youthful and vibrant with layered aromatics of stone fruit, baking spices, and a chalky nuance. Palate is poised with great length, vanilla, hazelnut and cream, very fine texture and minerality. Seamless, elegant and mouth-watering. - 98 points + Double Gold medal at the 2021 New Zealand International Wine Show.

World Wine – Prickly pear, small green apples, preserved lemon and a nice sense of tang, it is 100% varietal in a very stylish, smooth mid-weight register. With juicy acidity and a nice little nutty snap to close, the fruit tannins are perfectly handled (so often the Achilles heel of this tricky variety). Unbelievably good value - you just shouldn't be able to get it so cheap!

Wine Enthusiast – 2022 Vintage Review: “Such an exquisite wine. Dave O’Leary compares 2022 with the legendary vintage of 2002 (what a surfeit of riches we’ve had with the 22s following the wonderful 2021s) and on the evidence of this wine, no argument from me. The dry grown vineyard is classic Watervale, red loam over limestone with a westerly aspect. The hand-harvested fruit is de-stemmed, crushed and gently pressed. A component of the pressings is incorporated with the free-run juice, which is chilled after the pressing. The juice is settled, racked and yeast added. Fermentation is kept cool and takes around ten to fourteen days. Beautifully perfumed, this is so fragrant. An utterly magical nose. The wine seems so fragile but there is coiled power lurking below. Seamless, balanced, focused, we have notes of lemons and limes, florals and glacéd fruit. Gentle persistence and the palate really is incredibly long. It is so beguiling now that cellaring will be difficult but it will easily handle ten to twenty years and improve over that time. A brilliant Riesling. Seriously $25? Is this the greatest bargain to be found anywhere in the world? Anyone without a case or two in the cellar is not serious about wine.” - 98 Points Ken Gargett, Winepilot

World Wine – Wilfred Wong of Wine.com COMMENTARY: The 2018 Marc Brédif Vouvray Classic is a picture-perfect Chenin Blanc, with a touch of sweetness. TASTING NOTES: This wine is fresh, bright, and textured. Its pretty and floral aromas and smooth finish should make it an excellent choice with hummus-packed pita bread. Wine Enthusiast – Pink grapefruit, nectarine and green apple get a savory bite of garden hose and petrol on the nose of this wine. Limes and lots of green apple slices take over on the palate. The wine finishes stony with fruit and rocks, from quartz and slate to peaches and nectarines, and finally an astringent, nutty note of almond skins.
James Suckling – A medium-bodied white with aromas of chopped apples, chamomile and mango stones. There’s good weight and ripeness here, even some nuttiness.

Wine Enthusiast – 96 Points - "Many Marlborough sauvignon blancs are made to a familiar formula; lean and green and refreshing with bright acid. This new release from Dog Point offers something just a little bit different. Certified organic, it has a little more mouthfeel, a tad more palate interest, than many of its contemporaries, while retaining its aromatic appeal. This has vibrancy, allied to some interesting palate complexity thanks to wild yeast fermentation and some whole bunch elements; a wine that demands to matched with seafood, perhaps some mussels or cockles. It is bright and lively with fresh citrus and nectarine notes. Punchy, taut and intense with well-judged acid, faint smoky hints and immediate appeal. Well worth seeking out. 96 points from me." Huon Hooke – 'Light straw-yellow colour. The aromas are superbly fresh and intense, youthful and bright, with herb and lemon aromas of real charm. The palate is juicy and ripe, fresh and clean and bright, with delicious lemon and herb and a compelling juiciness. It's fresh, youthful, reserved and not at all austere or tight. The acidity is perfectly balanced, the wine is eminently drinkable now and will certainly age well. A seriously good young semillon.' 95 points - Huon Hooke, Therealreview.com
