James Suckling – Aromas of racy red fruits of cranberries and strawberries with rose petals, red licorice and tangerines. Medium-bodied with crisp acidity and fine-grained juicy tannins. Tangy and appetizing wine with good drinkability. Slightly sweet and sour fruit at the end.
About This Wine
95 POINTS - The Real Review Bob Campbell
"Charming wine with finesse and a floral emphasis together with dark cherry/berry and assorted spice/anise flavours plus nicely integrated classy French oak. The wine is topped off with a seductively silken texture."
Appearance
Burgundy in colour with a light crimson hue.
Aroma
Dried lavender and garigue, distinctly Te Muna perfume on the nose.
Palate
An elegant palate with a warm core of brambled wild berries, porcini mushroom and red cherry in balance with the silk-laden tannins, which perfectly frame the wine. It speaks volumes to an incredible site.
Vinification
95% destemmed, 5% whole bunch fermented in open top stainless steel tanks and french oak cuves.
