We aim to have all wines be vintage specific. In the case the listed vintage is out of stock and you note you would like that particular vintage, we will inform you via email for approval to go ahead.
Wine Spectator – Wine Spectator 90: Layered, with plush flavors of plum, blackberry and black currant preserves offset by firmer charcoal, black tea leaf and warm stone notes. Approachable now but should mellow with mid-term cellaring. Drink now through 2020.
About This Wine
Chateau Prieure Lichine is best served at 15.5 degrees Celsius, 60 degrees Fahrenheit. The cool, almost cellar temperature gives the wine more freshness and lift. Young vintages can be decanted for 1-2 hours. This allows the wine to soften and open its perfume. The wine will also gently warm in the glass, releasing its aromatics. Older vintages might also need decanting, for both aerating and to remove the sediment. Chateau Prieure Lichine is best served with all types of classic meat dishes, veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, roast chicken, roasted braised and grilled dishes. Chateau Prieure Lichine is a perfect match with Asian dishes, hearty fish courses like tuna, mushrooms and pasta as well as cheese.
