About This Wine
The wine starts with cherry, violet and damp leaves, moves to tart cherry in the mid-palate and finishes with black cherry and fine tannins.
"Willamette Valley Oregon is the most promising pinot-growing area of North America. Climatically, Oregon is to California a bit like Tasmania is to Australia. This looks, smells and tastes distinctly Burgundian. It has medium-weight colour, with some lightening at the meniscus, and a complex bouquet of bright cherry and wild strawberry fruit, cool damp soil, and a background note of aniseed. The palate starts out with a small burst of ripe red fruits and quickly segues to an elegant wine of medium body and middle weight in size. The complex fruit and savoury flavours reprise the bouquet and the finish is satisfyingly fragrant. This is a killer options wine. I don‘t know how you‘d pick it on the blind as from anywhere other than Cote de Beaune."
