About This Wine
The Long Road Pinot is sourced from the same Tumbarumba vineyards as the Chardonnay. 2017’s blend is an equal mix of the two sources with the earlier picked Maragle providing the wine’s flesh to Courabyra’s punchy, aromatic cherry and spice fruit. The wine was open fermented with indigenous yeasts, with 15-20% whole bunches, before being pressed to used, 500-litre puncheons (1-3 years old) for ten months. A veritable bargain for this variety, it opens with lovely, vibrant red fruits and bunchy/forest floor characters which flow onto a sleek, medium bodied palate with silky tannins and perfumed length.
