About This Wine
The history of the family domain estate dates back to 1815 when Charles Louis Noel Billaud, on returning from the Napoleonic campaigns planted his first vine in Chablis, at Mont de Milieu, then called Le Mont Mieux: "the best hill". Now, Bernard Billaud-Simon, son of Jean Billaud and Renee Simon is in charge of the 20 ha domain. Inheritors of a long lineage of wine growers, he has one ambition: to give the most accurate rendering both in the vineyard and in the cellar, of the soil and lie of the land which gave birth to the four Chablis appellations: Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru and Chablis Grand Cru.
