World Wine – 'This is a seriously good semillon, just starting to open up and drink well, and will continue to do so for many years. The palate is juicy and ripe, fresh and clean and bright, with delicious lemon/herb fruit and a compelling juiciness. Already eminently drinkable.' 95 points - Gourmet Traveller Wine
Huon Hooke – 'Light straw-yellow colour. The aromas are superbly fresh and intense, youthful and bright, with herb and lemon aromas of real charm. The palate is juicy and ripe, fresh and clean and bright, with delicious lemon and herb and a compelling juiciness. It's fresh, youthful, reserved and not at all austere or tight. The acidity is perfectly balanced, the wine is eminently drinkable now and will certainly age well. A seriously good young semillon.' 95 points - Huon Hooke, Therealreview.com

James Halliday – "Glorious wine. Untold depths of the richest blackberry and plum fruit with a magically bright finish ex livewire acidity." 99 Points - James Halliday, The Weekend Australian
Wine Enthusiast – "Medium deep crimson. Intense blackberry, mulberry praline aromas with mocha sage herb garden notes. Superbly concentrated wine with deep set pure blackberry, dark plum, mulberry fruits, fine slinky tannins, attractive mid-palate richness and underlying mocha, vanilla notes. Finishes firm with chinotto, hint marzipan notes. Superb mineral length, vigour and extract." (99 points, Andrew Caillard MW, The Vintage Journal)

World Wine – “Colour is deep maroon and the nose is just gorgeously perfumed, quite exquisite. Florals, violets, spices, milk chocolate and dark fruits. An alluring creamy texture. This is simply seamless with silky tannins and very fine balance. Delightfully fresh, almost slippery. It also has great length and seems to increase in intensity as we go. Just immaculate balance (yes, repeating myself but it is a point worth stressing). The purity of fruit is the highlight of this wine, though, with a long future ahead.” Ken Gargett, Wine Pilot.

James Halliday – "... I love the transparency of the Barossa’s cooler seasons, in such articulate detail here that all 4 varieties are clearly visible in all their glory. Unashamedly medium bodied, refreshing and enticing, yet in no way underpowered, simplistic or short lived. Crunchy berry fruits, fine-ground tannins and vibrant acidity unite to marvellous effect and outstanding line and length. It takes some skill, dexterity and humility in the winery to allow fruit of such elegance to really sing. A classic Barossa blend with a long future before it.” 13 AUGUST 2021 - Tyson Stelzer, Halliday Wine Companion
Huon Hooke – This blend of shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and merlot has a track record of consistency, and ages beautifully. It’s labelled Barossa, a zone that embraces Eden Valley as well as Barossa Valley proper. It certainly tastes like a Henschke Eden Valley red, with tell-tale raspberry and sage among various dried-herb and spice aromas, floral and earthy nuances too. It’s deliciously fruit-sweet, almost lush in the mouth, the masses of fine, subtly drying tannins keeping the finish and aftertaste neat and disciplined. A lovely wine, approachable already but certainly built to last and will be reward even a few years in the cellar. (Screwcap)

Decanter – "Rich purple and inky blue fruits soar from the glass: cassis, mulberry, violets and an almost pine forest-like ozone freshness that brings lift and clarity to the sumptuous palate. Beautiful length, elegance and purity, with smooth graphite-like tannins and vibrant acidity" (97 points - Tina Gellie, Decanter)

Huon Hooke – A brightly spicy, red-fruited aroma which is full of charm and aromatic appeal. Very good intensity and drive through the palate, great tension and persistence, refinement and vitality that carries right through to the last. Sweet fruit core followed by a firm, authoritative finish. A gorgeous wine.
Huon Hooke – Medium to light straw-yellow hue. A complex bouquet for such a young wine, hints of apricot, freshly-shelled nuts, lemon and a trace of honey just starting up. Delicious palate texture, medium-bodied and intense, smooth and rounded, properly dry and extremely long, with lovely elegance and palate line. A smashing wine. 96 points.
