The Wine Front – It’s from a number of sites across the Peninsula and its quality (and value) is very good. It’s a dry, savoury pinot with ample fruit and fine grooves of tannin. Complex, interesting, well scaffolded and satisfying through the finish. There’s a woodsmoke note, lots of black cherry, a tangy cranberried character and a late rise of redcurrant to the aftertaste. Plenty to see and experience. We’re into impeccable territory once again.
About This Wine
This is brilliant value Mornington: super delicious, aromatic and sweetly fruited, showing an abundance of dark cherry and poached plum aromas, with subtle clove and cinnamon spice complementing in the background. On the palate - again a mixture of poached plums and cherries, dense, vibrant balanced acidity, fine textured tannins with subtle spice on the finish.

Mornington Peninsula Wines
South of Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula grape growing region has a cool, maritime climate that is most known for their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay production. Other varieties that have seen some success here include Pinot Gris and Tempranillo.
However, it does seem that Pinot Noir is their focus judging from the fact that The Mornington Peninsula International Pinot Noir Celebration is held once every two years. The event displays the region’s capabilities in making some of Australia’s finest Pinot Noir in front of local and international audiences.
