We aim to have all wines be vintage specific. In the case the listed vintage is out of stock and you note you would like that particular vintage, we will inform you via email for approval to go ahead.
Wine Spectator – Salted butter, chamomile and quinine notes are followed by hints of Earl Grey tea, Anjou pear and green melon in this white, culminating with a fine, minerally finish. Should open steadily with mid-term cellaring. Drink now through 2020.
Wine Enthusiast – A mature and ripe wine, with great nut and biscuit flavors to go with the full yellow fruits. An impressively dense wine, it’s a wine that can age, but is ready to drink now. Screwcap.
About This Wine
The "Trie Speciale" is special selection of 35-year-old vines, which are harvested later than most in the region, and is only produced in exceptional years. Whole clusters are pressed and the juice is allowed to go through a very slow fermentation and then rested nine months on the lees. Layers upon layers take you through an array of tastes and textures: from sweet aromatic fruit to salty minerals to dense melon to bright citrus. This can and will play with all of your wine senses.
