We aim to have all wines be vintage specific. In the case the listed vintage is out of stock and you note you would like that particular vintage, we will inform you via email for approval to go ahead.
The Wine Front – Grown mostly on 40-year-old vines in the Flaxman’s Valley area of the Eden Valley. I’d reckon this is a bargain. It does all the basics right. It has excellent line and length, trademark citrus and bath salt flavours, and a beautifully dry, essentially textural finish. It smells and tastes exactly as you’d want/hope. The combination of fragrance to start and dryness to finish; it works so well here.
James Halliday – Distinctively Eden Valley riesling on the bouquet, but offering some lifted blossom-like notes to go with the familiar lemon butter and mineral aromas. Relatively soft and full on the palate as the style goes, with a slight sweetness about the fruit. Has sufficient acidity but it’s not pronounced. Very approachable now, and suited to short or medium term cellaring.
James Suckling – Lime cordial and some fragrant perfume too, this is fresh and lively on the nose. The palate has a smoothly rendered feel with lime-pastry and pith to close. Drink now. Screw cap.
