Wine Enthusiast – 96 Points - "Many Marlborough sauvignon blancs are made to a familiar formula; lean and green and refreshing with bright acid. This new release from Dog Point offers something just a little bit different. Certified organic, it has a little more mouthfeel, a tad more palate interest, than many of its contemporaries, while retaining its aromatic appeal. This has vibrancy, allied to some interesting palate complexity thanks to wild yeast fermentation and some whole bunch elements; a wine that demands to matched with seafood, perhaps some mussels or cockles. It is bright and lively with fresh citrus and nectarine notes. Punchy, taut and intense with well-judged acid, faint smoky hints and immediate appeal. Well worth seeking out. 96 points from me." James Suckling – This has such attractive, pungent and intense passion-fruit, lime and gooseberry aromas. Very pure on the palate with fresh, zesty lime and passion-fruit flavors. On good form here.

The Wine Front – Almond, cinnamon, nutmeg, green tobacco, a little gun smoke, nashi pear and nectarine. There’s some real lemonade flavour along with dried pear, a pleasing crunch and freshness to acidity, a friand and dried coconut richness, and a bright finish of excellent length. Very good Chardonnay. Ticks a lot of boxes, you might say.

James Suckling – Expressive nose of white grapefruit, white pears, sea shells, nutmeg, cloves and dried lemons. It's medium- to full-bodied with a creamy and layered texture. Vibrant. Lovely sweet fruit and integrated subtle spice notes. Drink or hold. Screw cap.

Huon Hooke – Light, bright yellow hue with a complex bouquet of sneaky hints of buttered toast, roasted hazelnuts and underlying citrus fruits, lemon and grapefruit. Creamy lees and shortbread-like malo characters. There is excellent intensity of flavour powered along by great acidity that really drives the wine and prevents it being heavy. Concentration and drive in spadefuls. A generous, mouth-filling chardonnay with great amplitude and incredible length. Very satisfying to sip. No hurry to drink it—and time will bring increased complexity.

James Suckling – This has such a floral, fragrant and perfumed nose with sliced-pear and melon aromas, as well as very fresh, fleshy flavors on the palate. This has such a pure, gently honeyed, pear and melon-flavored palate. Refined and refreshing. Drink now.

James Suckling – Quince, ripe apple skin, and acacia followed by pistachios, almonds and a hint of beeswax. Medium- to full-bodied, crisp acidity with underlying sliced ginger notes on the palate and finish. Pungent and complex wine. Dry at the end with a slight oiliness.
