World Wine – Light ruby-red colour with some depth and slight purple hues, paler edged. The nose is fresh and elegant with fragrant aromas of red cherry fruit entwined with fresh thyme herbs and delicate notes of whole bunch stalk elements. Medium-full bodied, the palate is lively and fresh with brisk acidity enlivening the fruit flavours of red cherries and red florals. The fruit has a degree of sweetness and luscious¬ness. Notes of fresh herbs and whole cluster stalk nuances add detail, and the palate us underlined by light, fine-grained tannin extraction. Some alcoholic power carries the wine to a light, nuanced finish of red cherries and florals. This is a fresh and lively, red cherry-fruited Pinot Noir with subtle floral, herb and stalk nuances and light, supple tannins. Serve with salm¬on and tuna, and poultry dishes over the next 4 years. 61% Abel clone with 39% clone 5, the fruit fermented to 13.84% alc. with 31% whole bunches, the wine aged 10 months in 13% new French oak.

About This Wine

Bright crimson red with ruby hues.

Lifted, bright cherry and raspberry fruit catch the attention. There is an underlying spice and earth tone that intrigues. Subtle wafts of cinnamon buns, leafy lavender and quite lovely rose petal notes. Gorgeous clean fruit and subtle complexity on the nose.

The entry is soft and generous and shows primary fruit in abundance. This wine has an effusive succulence that truly satiates. The texture and structure evolve nicely, with stunning fine-grained tannins - dusty and silky at the same time.

Bright acidity lifts the juiciness of the fruit with resulting length and persistence. Long, soft and generous with a bright fruit focus.

This wine has had no finings and minimal filtration so a fine sediment may form during maturation.

Cellaring – medium term, 3 to 5 years.

Food – An autumn road-trip picnic spread on a rug by a stream: saucissons, pork rillettes, cornichons and crusty baguette. One of those little ash-rolled goat's cheese to finish - that’ll work.
