We aim to have all wines be vintage specific. In the case the listed vintage is out of stock and you note you would like that particular vintage, we will inform you via email for approval to go ahead.
James Halliday – “Hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed to 500L French puncheons, wild-yeast fermented, matured for 10 months on lees. The Upper Yarra, on red volcanic soils, produces taut wines of extreme length. Here citrus, white stone fruit and green apple are bolstered by natural acidity. Winemaker David Bicknell makes the difficult seem easy.” – Philip Rich
About This Wine
Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromas of nectarines tinged with grapefruit meet up with light dried honey, citrusy nougat, subtle biscuity oak and notions of gun flint. Elegant with a feeling of freshness to the ripe nectarine, grapefruit and citrus flavours, there’s also a light creaminess to the textural feel brought on by elements of dried honey, nougat and subtle biscuity oak. Finishes dry with fresh acidity and a long refined aftertaste of nectarine, grapefruit, citrusy nougat, dried honey and light cashew.
