About This Wine

Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromas of nectarines tinged with grapefruit meet up with light dried honey, citrusy nougat, subtle biscuity oak and notions of gun flint. Elegant with a feeling of freshness to the ripe nectarine, grapefruit and citrus flavours, there’s also a light creaminess to the textural feel brought on by elements of dried honey, nougat and subtle biscuity oak. Finishes dry with fresh acidity and a long refined aftertaste of nectarine, grapefruit, citrusy nougat, dried honey and light cashew.

James Suckling – “A standout vineyard with what feels like a strong influence of terroir. If the aromas of flint, chalk, sandstone, dried white blossoms, white peppers, dried nutmeg, acacia and dried citrus peel don't grab your attention, then nothing will. This does about everything right for a cool-climate chardonnay, marrying a strong center palate of textured citrus fruit and spicy complexity with an ethereally long line of acidity and pith. First commercially available vintage of this stunning site in the Yarra. Amazing now but better in 2025.”
