About This Wine
The Oliver's have farmed the Taranga vineyard for six generations. The wines that come from this small patch of McLaren Vale are as rich as the family history. Shiraz is what they do best.
Sourced from vines over 60 years old, Olivers Taranga's reserve shiraz is a powerful wine. Rich, dark fruit balanced against notes of dark chocolate and spice. Throw in some super silky tannins and you've got one seriously smooth McLaren Vale beauty.
This Shiraz from superb winemaker Corinna Wright is the quintessential McLaren Vale Shiraz and great value to boot.
James Halliday – "Part from the oldest estate block (planted '48), and Rayments clone 1654 (planted '96), destemmed, berry-sorted, lightly crushed, 3 days cold soak, wild yeast-open fermented, pressed at 1 degrees baume for primary and mlf in French oak (35% new). Great fruit, great vintage, great winemaking." James Halliday | 98 Points
