Paxton 'EJ 125 YR' Shiraz 2010
Colour: Deep Crimson. Bouquet: Vanilla and black currant aromas with an elegant note of spicy oak and plum. Palate: A soft and elegant wine, with an intense concentration of red berry fruits from the 100 year old vines. The depth and weight of the wine drives through the mid-palate. Delicately integrated French oak blends in beautifully with the natural tannin. Cellaring: Will reward cellaring for 10++ years.
Robert Parker/Wine Advocate – Deep garnet in color, the 2010 Elizabeth Jean 100 Year Shiraz presents a mature nose of game, earth, meat, incense and cigar box intermixed with creme de cassis and preserved plums. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, the mature palate is velvety and finishes long with lingering anise hints. Lisa Perrotti-Brown, August 2015
