Te Mata Elston Chardonnay 2015
Crisp chardonnay fruit balanced against fine, refreshing acidity gives this wine immaculate poise.
The Wine Front – Bold style, and not lacking in flavour. If one of those people who pine for richer days of Chardonnay should ask you to recommend a wine, then I reckon this will hit then spot, funds permitting. Peaches sizzled in butter, sage and clove, grilled nuts and ruby red grapefruit. It’s full bodied, savoury and nutty, layered with spice and caramel, but cut into shape with tangy lime acidity, finishing bright and savoury at once.
