Weingut Brundlmayer Riesling Heiligenstein Lyra 2013
The Wine Front – Steely reserve in bouquet – tight citrus fruit, green apples, florals. Juicy to taste, broader than expected but with a piercing coil of blazing acidity. Some sweetness in the mix too – more like red apple, crisp fruit profile. Finishes with clatter of grapefruit and jumble of minerals. Really likeable and super refreshing. 93 points.
World Wine – A Riesling of outstanding intensity of pure, concentrated lime juice, lime blossom and green apple, focused and poised, with exceptional persistence and a pronounced mouthfeel. Tyson Stelzer Gourmet Traveller WINE
Wine Enthusiast – Beautifully lifted, almost sublimated apple and citrus fruit combine to make a perfumed, appetizing nose. That pure apple theme continues on the concentrated palate that sings with purity to leave a satisfying and honest impression of completeness. Pure and simply very delicious.
