You may have heard on the, err, grapevine that Frankland Estate has won the title of Wine of the Year at the 2020 WA Good Food Guide Awards for the 2019 Frankland Estate Isolation Ridge Riesling.
It’s fantastic news for Hunter, Lizzie, Brian and the team – and, of course, further third-party confirmation that Frankland are emphatically at the top of Australia’s Riesling tree and, indeed, in the premier league of this country’s true terroir estates.
For many years now the release of their single-vineyard Riesling has commanded attention and respect, as attested to by Nick Stock’s observation.
