The 2022 "Champerrier" presents a medium purple color and only opens up with time. Then, the Pinot Noir evokes sweet cherries with some sour cherries, firm raspberries and strawberries, and a touch of pomegranate juice. The fruit is complemented by some tobacco, candied violets, and salty licorice in the background. On the palate, the wine presents itself polished and juicy with a pleasant grip and good acid structure. The tannins show the first signs of suppleness, but still seem firm enough that the wine should ideally be given another two to three years of development. Then you can enjoy a picture-perfect Gevrey!
