Macvin du Jura is a fortified wine, officially classified as "vin de liqueur," originating from the Jura wine region. It is created by incorporating Marc du Jura brandy into grape must. This method halts fermentation and preserves the wine's inherent sweetness. Subsequently, Macvin is aged in oak barrels.
