The Wine Front – Clean and pure, lemon and lime squeezed into mineral water, a lavender perfume, ultra-fine crushed rock texture, and a cool and very long slaty finish. Very fine Eden Riesling. No coarseness. High class. Say no more.

Another outstanding vintage for the Eden Valley in a long string of successes. Excellent, balanced and consistent conditions – warm but not too warm, dry but not too dry, crucially cool Autumn nights – have led to intensely flavoured and brilliantly balanced fruit with excellent freshness. Pale, almost clear, with vivid green highlights. The nose is very fresh and restrained, tending towards citrus with subtle floral notes. The palate is elegant and pure with a core of delicate citrus flavours and beautiful mineral acidity. Approachable and well balanced, with the fruit flavours not swamped by acidity, this is an excellent each way bet – enjoy now or cellar for the medium term. Very pale in colour with bright green highlights. The nose is pure and very fresh with predominantly citrus aromas along with hints of green apple and floral blossom. The palate is tightly wound and again impressively pure with floral and citrus flavours giving definition by mineral and lime acidity before an impressively long finish. From an excellent vintage in a row of excellent vintages, this wine has an intensity, length and cellaring potential that is a level above.
