ColleMassari

(2 products)
ColleMassari is located in Montecucco in the foothills of Mount Amiata, between Montalcino and Grosseto. The property includes 110 hectares of vineyards, 60 of olive groves and 400 of mixed crops. Whilst Sangiovese is still very much at home here, the favourable conditions allow other varieties like Ciliegiolo, Montepulciano and Vermentino to thrive. Production is based on organic principles (guaranteed and certified by ICEA) and winemaking is carried out in the architectural award-winning four storey gravity feed winery. Vermentino ‘Melacce’ shows hints of herbs and wildflowers with spice and sea on the palate. ‘Rigoleto’ is 70% Sangiovese, 15% Ciliegiolo and 15% Montepulciano, fresh and vibrant with red berry fruit and sweet tannins and is a delight to drink. Riserva, mostly Sangiovese with 10% each of Ciliegiolo and Cabernet, is rich with black fruits, liquorice, spice and balsamic notes.
