The Wine Front – Blackberry, raspberry, spicy and nutty, with a dried flower perfume. It’s medium-bodied, meaty and spicy, but fresh and vibrant too, with a clean ‘mineral’ sort of feel to acidity, fine chalky tannin grip, dried herb and black olive, and a gently chewy finish of excellent length with some orange zest in the aftertaste. Really good, and beautifully turned out.
James Halliday – A blend of 38/36/26% shiraz/mataro/grenache; aged in French oak for three months. Purple and vibrant in the glass with a beautifully perfumed nose of jasmine-flecked red plum, cranberry, raspberry and blueberry fruits. Plenty of purple floral tones and a gingery spice base with a crunchy line across the palate, gentle tannins and a plume of vibrant spiced fruit on the finish. Great, fun drinking.
James Suckling – Attractive aromas of crushed plum, red cherry, lavender and suede. Medium- to full-bodied with velvety tannins. Bright, with driving acidity and a fruity palate. Drink now. Screw cap.

Wine Spectator – "Lemon peel, citrus oil, white peach, quinine and jicama notes are allied to a steely spine, with flashes of verbena and savory on the intensely focused finish. Distinctive and could probably use a touch of cellaring. Marsanne, Viognier, Clairette and Bourboulenc." Wine Spectator Note
