Established in 1865 when Eduardo Seghesio planted his first Zinfandel vine in Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley, the Seghesio estate has gone on to make a name for itself for the quality of its wines and attention to detail. Located in Healdsberg in the heart of Sonoma wine country, the estate's 121 hectares of vineyards located in the Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys are planted to Arneis, Pinot Grigio, Muscat, Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Zinfandel, Petite Syrah, Aglianico, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Despite the diversity of plantings, Seghesio are Zinfandel specialists with the variety accounting for 85% of their production and the wines winning many awards in local and international wine shows.
