Idda Bianco Sicilia Dop 2024

IDDA Bianco Carricante 2024 Sicilia DOC is a white wine from Sicily, made from 100% Carricante grapes and comes from the southern slopes of Mount Etna, near Biancavilla at altitudes between approx. 700 – 800 meters above sea level. The production includes gentle pressing with whole bunches and fermentation and maturation in both steel tanks and 10-hl wooden barrels for approx. 12 months to highlight the character of the terroir and the structure of the wine.

The wine conveys a distinct sense of Etna terroir: the volcanic hillsides provide the grapes with summer heat and cool night temperatures, creating good acid balance and minerality. GAJA Sicily combines tradition and precision, and the result is an elegant white wine with good potential, suitable for both gastronomic enjoyment and serious wine tasting.

The wine has light straw yellow hues with green reflections, clear and medium viscous in the glass, inviting and elegant. Delicious taste with crisp acidity, mineral structure and salty finish combined with citrus and exotic fruit notes; long and clean aftertaste with precise nerve. A balanced and refined white wine, which gives both the clear marking of the terroir and a sense of sophistication — ideal for both experience and conversation.

Serve at approx. 10-12 °C to highlight the freshness and minerality. Perfect with shellfish, grilled fish, light sauces with white meat or mature Mediterranean cheeses such as pecorino.
