About this Wine

2022 harvest was the warmer vintage we were looking for after the cooler 2021. The wetter cooler growing season was followed by a warm dry harvesting time. Perfect for old vine 51 year old cabernet sauvignon at Cullen’s. Being dry farmed and then being given the moisture needed for perfect ripening .Yields were low and berries small giving beautifully balanced fruit and tannin makeup with stunning aromatics. The cabernet sauvignon vines grown on the Scott Henry trellising allowing sunlight to access the fruit from berry set onwards pushed phenolic and physiological ripeness. Flavour, tannin, acid, ph, all coming together at the same time.
