James Halliday – "From an east-facing contoured vineyard that catches all the morning sun. Perfectly ripened white stone fruit with a quick squeeze of Meyer lemon. Has been fermented and matured in French oak in such a way as to leave the gorgeous fruit centre stage, the palate of endless length." - James Halliday (Halliday Wine Companion)

James Suckling – The forthright nose of candied lemon and smoke leads you into a well-structured chardonnay, with elegant acidity and plenty of chalky minerality. With a bit more complexity at the finish this would rate even higher. From vines in Flonheim. Limited production. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold. - JamesSuckling.com
The Wine Front – There’s certain clarity about this wine, and it will satisfy your cravings if you seek crisp and fresh styles of Chardonnay. Almonds and cashews, fresh citrus, yoghurt note giving a lightly creamy texture. Fruit, however, is on the crunchy, green side, with firm apples and pears, sour grapefruit, a hint of white nectarine. All pinned by a salty finish, cool in flow. You can’t help but think of some textbook Chablis examples. And for the price, it’s a no-brainer.

The Wine Front – Mid intensity, mid complexity, a general elegance and sound length. This has been nicely put together. Nectarine, honeysuckle, a semblance of oyster shells and a glide of peachy/nutty flavour through the finish. Everything is in good order now though I suspect that it’ll be better again in another 6-12 months - Campbell Mattinson

The Wine Front – Pungent start. Steaming pineapple tarte Tatin. Appetising. More sweet pastry, some coconut nuance, lavender, almond nougat, wood spice. It’s full-on with power, energetic, pushing with a hit of ripe flavour and a whack of grapefruity acidity. I want to say it’s meaty with crushed bitter sage finish. Flavours linger in the back palate with a big lick of lime and salt. It has great intensity that needs time to settle.
