About This Wine
92 POINTS - The Real Review Stuart Knox
"Ultra pale, almost water white in the glass. Fragrant nose, lime curd, jasmine and oyster brine notes lift from the glass. Fresh and vibrant pome and citrus fruits across the tongue. Hint of seaside minerality and baking pastry add layers to the flow and it carries a good length."
93 POINTS - Wine Pilot Ray Jordan
"This is a really beautiful expression of this variety. It’s intense and deep, yet it has a bracing and tightening crisp acidity that holds it close through to a long finish. Apple and pear with some light citrus notes on the nose. The textured palate is derived from the time on lees, but without oak."
APPEARANCE
Pale straw with bright-green hues.
AROMA
Fragrant, floral aromas of frangipani, ginger flower and orange blossom, with notes of white peach, nectarine, nashi pear and citrus zest.
PALATE
A rich, full-flavoured palate of creamy yellow peach, brown spices and ginger, fresh, crisp grapefruit acidity providing excellent length and depth, and a layered, textural finish.

Adelaide Hills
The Adelaide Hills is one of the largest geographical wine regions in Australia, and amongst the most diverse in terms of climate, soil and topography. Because of this, many different varietals are planted here with the most dominant being Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. It is generally thought of as a cooler region, especially when compared to neighbouring Barossa to the north and Mclaren vale and Langhorne Creek to the south.
NZ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc has been popular in Australia for a while now, but Adelaide hills Sauvignon Blanc (the most planted grape in the region) could be considered the Aussie Savvy Blanc. From www.adelaidehillswine.com.au about their Sauvignon Blanc: “Wines that are textured, edgy, vibrant and dry with exceptional fruit definition, length and crispness that marry superbly with summer seafood.”
You can also find some cool climate shiraz from the Adelaide hills, defying the more common big bold style that is usually seen in Australian Shiraz.
