Totally sophisticated … the fruit here is completely at one with the oak, which, save for the textural impact of soft, round shape, it is largely invisible. This has persistent flow of flavour across the palate, trailing into a long and languid finish. Juniper, cassis, green apple skins, snow pea florals, brine, jasmine tea and blackberry bramble. Really smart. Restrained and seamless.”
