Domaine Les Pallieres Terrace du Diable Gigondas 2014
The "Terrasse du Diable" comes from low-yielding vines from the higher altitudes that express great structure and intense minerality.
|Varietal(s)||Grenache Clairette Mourvèdre|
|Brand||Domaine Les Pallieres|
Wine Spectator – A perfumy style, with sandalwood and balsa wood notes forming the frame for a core of lightly steeped plum and red currant fruit. The finish lets black tea details waft through alongside a hint of iron. Drink now through 2024.
Antonio Galloni/Vinous – Deep ruby. Black raspberry, cherry compote and garrigue on the powerfully scented nose. Sweet and expansive on the palate, offering vibrant red and blue fruit flavors and a subtle hint of candied licorice that gains strength with air. Finishes on a smoky red berry note, with impressive thrust and smooth, even tannins that fold into the wine's juicy fruit.
In a mixed or straight case: $82.64
