Vieux Télégraphe’s Brunier family have revitalised the La Pallières estate since they purchased it in 1998. It covers 25 hectares of vineyards at the Northern-most edge of the Gigondas appellation. Planted to 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah and 5% each of Mourvèdre and Cinsault, the fifty year old vines lie on soils of clay and limestone in some of the finest aspects in the region. Work in the vineyards is meticulous and the fruit is harvested by hand before passing across the sorting table twice before fermentation and aging in barrel.
These are some of the finest examples to come from the sun-bleached commune of Gigondas with starkly detailed aromas and precision and flow across the palate.
