Decanter – Like Rutherglen Muscat, shrivelled and partially raisined berries are fermented briefly on skins, then fortified. Fruit is sourced from red and black (as well as Rutherglen’s brown) Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains mutations. Ageing in hogsheads and barriques dials up the richness (360g/l residual sugar), unleashing bourbon and marzipan-like nutty notes to its boozy Christmas pudding and medjool date flavor.
