Dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a red to dark red hue. Springing out of the glass with a perfumed like intensity are alluring scents of violets, cherries and strawberries which are followed by hints of rhubarb, forest floor and dried herbs. Delicious ripe cherry, rhubarb and strawberry fruits infused with a mix of brambly stalk and spicy dried herb characters are layered across what is a very supple and expansive palate. Subtle forest floor and cedar elements are also evident. Excellent power and intensity combine with silky smooth tannins to form a long, rich and highly moreish finish. Drink over the next 3-4 years.
