Les Quatre Piliers Première Cuvée Cabernet Franc 2022 is an elegant entry-level wine from rising star Valentin Desloges, who trained with Burgundian legends like Coche-Dury before establishing this acclaimed Loire estate in Touraine. Crafted from 45+ year-old massale selection Cabernet Franc vines rooted in ancient Turonian limestone and flint soils on the right bank of the Cher Valley, this wine showcases exceptional purity with yields limited to 35 hl/hectare.
Fermented in stainless steel with native yeasts for 15 days before transferring to custom-made 228L barrels (crafted from oak selected and aged by Valentin himself) for 12 months' élevage. Unfined, unfiltered, with minimal sulfur (3g/hl at bottling only), respecting natural winemaking principles.
Expect enticing aromas of plums, dark berries, tobacco, and graphite with a hint of smoke. The palate reveals elegant raspberry and redcurrant flavors carried by lacy, fine-grained tannins with seamless oak integration and a refined, persistent finish.
