A very deep and dark crimsony red in colour. Good depth of the fragrant, rich, dark berry fruit aromas so typical of these varieties; eg boysenberry and blackberry along with a ‘cherry ripe’ character adding complexity. Has a well weighted palate with lovely, sweet and fresh dark plum fruit flavours along with those delicious dark berry fruits. Typical of Cabernet, it’s well structured with these generous dark berry fruit flavours complemented by the chewy and drying tannins picked up from the skin contact during fermentation.
