Since 1796, the Margaine family has been cultivating the winemaking tradition of the Villers-Marmery terroir, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. In Pinot Noir territory, the slope's exposure changes in this small village, along with the soil profile, and the grape variety gives way to Chardonnay, which expresses itself in a fine, vinous, and unique way. Viticulture has evolved immensely in recent years at this estate, and the family's 10 hectares are now organically managed, with the soil worked optimally for each plot. All this, combined with the high average age of the vines, contributes to this success.
The Blanc de Blancs - 100% Chardonnay - Spécial Club 2018 is a champagne from the 1er Cru Villers-Marmery that is aged in barrels (30%) and remains on its lees for more than 6 years. All A. Margaine champagnes do not undergo malolactic fermentation.
