To be able to supply such a unique & extensive range of boutique wines, we don't hold much of the inventory. So with us, there is the added step of receiving the wine from our local suppliers before it is dispatched to you. Most orders are dispatched within 3-6 working days.

If you’re not familiar with the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA), it’s renowned for being one of the toughest wine shows on the planet, with 18,094 entries in 2021, of which just 50 took out the ‘Best in Show’ trophy. As a leading light of the region, Claude Papin's Savennières is full-bodied, intensely complex and mineral (the Roche aux Moines vineyard dates back to the 12th century) and with an ability to age that makes it one of France’s great white wines.

Not the least of the fascinations of this Savennieres-Roche Aux Moines, though, is the fact that it manages a chameleon performance in a single glass. It’s both fresh, pretty, honeyed and gently amiable -- and yet mysteriously smoky. Once in the mouth, and you’ll find it doughy, almost pastry-rich … yet insistently stony, dark, bitter-edged and almost troubling in its complexities. Pure, commanding and unique, its elevation to Best In Show was never in doubt.” DWWA 2021
