Outstanding depth of colour displaying an impenetrable inky black core with a very deep bright dark red black hue. Heady aromas of liquorice, ripe blackberries, dark chocolate and black cherries spring from the glass followed by some meaty earth like characters and spicy vanillin cedar. Rich and powerful yet possessing an air of refinement the palate is filled with flavours of blackberries, liquorice and black cherries over a background of subtle dark chocolate, vanillin cedar, some meatiness and spice. Slightly chewy finish with velvet like yet structurally firm tannins. Excellent depth with a long aftertaste of blackberries, liquorice, black cherries, vanillin cedar, earth and spice. A vineyard with great potential.
