About This Wine
The Frapin XO sources fruit from the family domaine in Grande Champagne, and is a blend created from family reserves of very old Brandies. The average age of the blend is 35 years old. All Frapin Cognacs undergo a natural fermentation with no filtration to retain freshness of fruit. The wine is then double distilled in a copper Charentes, on lees, before ageing in Limousin oak casks. The distillation on lees gives a lifted aromatic and pretty nose to the Cognac, with deep and concentrated aged characters of brown spice, citrus peel, finishing with a round full palate.
