I do have a soft spot for this wine as it neatly brings together the best of the variety without it ever being overblown or just too much. Rose petal, musk and lemon bath salts aromas, while the palate is doused in rosewater, mandarin peel, ginger spice and lychees. Some grip on the finish, yet a freshness and buoyancy throughout.
Persimmon, lime and lychee fruits spill onto the palate. There is a fleshiness to the wine that is held taught by the pithy acid line. Spicy ginger phenolics focus the palate, helping add structure and drive. The finish is fresh and zesty; full-flavoured acid and phenolics are enmeshed within the fruit. A very refreshing and lively palate.
