Decanter – This 1.3 ha site is perhaps the best of the Lafon holdings in the Maconnais. The east-facing vines are located in the middle of the slope in a semi-circle of vines just outside the village. Fermented and aged for nearly a year in casks to show great elegance and breed, with a firm citrus underpinning to the ripe apple fruit. The texture on the palate is rich and dense but adequately balanced by the crisp acidity.

The small yields that come from this stony site produce a wine with big intensity, and great density. Only available in limited volumes this year due to reduced yields, this floral, exotic wine is such a crowd-pleasing style.
