The Wine Front – Raspberry, hazelnut, a bit gluey, but also has perfume, along with mint and some spice. It’s medium to full-bodied, all poached strawberry and raspberry, a bit edgy and warm in alcohol, but sure-footed with light grainy tannin and a little graphite grip, and I like the nutty slightly umami flavours too. It’s a pleasing wine. strawberry jelly, mint and nuts, with a finish of solid length. Very easy to like. - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
James Halliday – Crafted with a very light touch, the result is effusive of energy and sweet of fruit. A tad too sweet. Red licorice, kirsch, lilac and rosewater. Some white pepper and clove are strewn across a spindly finish marked by heat. There is ample character here, as with all the wines at this address. However, this needs a solid chill. - Ned Goodwin MW

Longhop is the impressive partnership of Domenic Torzi and Tim Freeland; designed to showcase what the Adelaide Plains and adjoining Mt Lofty Ranges regions does best. Sourcing precious old vine "survival plantings" of the 1950's coupled with a non-interventional approach to winemaking, the wines of Longhop are always generously flavoured and packed with personality.
This 2022 Longhop Grenache is another super value red; typically approachable it delivers plenty of lively dark cherry, raspberry and plum flavours with some dried herb and subtle spice notes. Offering impressive balance and depth, this is a delicious Grenache ready to be enjoyed now.
