Luna Beberide Wine

With 75 hectares of vineyards lying between 400 and 900 metres above sea level on the calcareous clays and decomposing schists of Villafranca del Bierzo and Cacabelos, Bodegas Luna Beberide tend their vines on some of the most prized terroir in the DO Bierzo. Established in 1987, winemaker Alejandro Luna has set aside 5 hectares to experiment with different varieties in the region and today has plantings that include the regional specialty Mencia plus Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Macabeo, Albariño and Sauvignon Blanc. With meticulous vineyard work and considered winemaking, Bodegas Luna Beberide is one of the most exciting projects in Bierzo.
