Port Phillip Estate lies on a spectacular site on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula. Established in 1987, situated in Red Hill, the vineyard is planted on deep red loam soils of volcanic origin. Wines are entirely estate grown and produced and strongly reflect the vineyard site attributes. The vineyard is planted to 8.7 hectares of predominantly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with smaller parcels of Sauvignon and Shiraz. The Estate is owned by the Gjergja family. The winemaking is overseen by Glen Hayley. The Port Phillip Estate cellar door is an architectural landmark,and one of the most exciting wine destinations in Australia.
