Nose - Distinct apple blossoms and white florals

Taste - Crisp refreshing acidity. Nice bright flavours of citrus and melon fruits. A touch of oak rounds out the palate. A fresh, dry white with plenty of zing.

Occasion - A very food friendly wine suitable to match with white meats and seafood such as roast pork, quail or baked snapper.

Looking for suitable white wine varieties as well as tackling Rutherglen’s changing climate, Natasha Killeen (1988, 7th Gen) researched Portuguese varieties extensively and chose three to plant in Rutherglen, Arinto, Alvarinho and Antão Vaz. The first two were planted successfully in 2015 with Antão Vaz planted in September 2020
