We also have access to more than 5000 fine wines from around the world through our local supplier network. Sometimes a vintage changes, or our suppliers sell out of stock without us yet being able to push through a timely update on our website.

Sanguine Estate is a family-operated boutique vineyard and winery located in the Heathcote region of Central Victoria. Sanguine's Heathcote Shiraz rarely fails to impress and this is another quality release.
As is typical of the Heathcote region, the 2024 Sanguine Estate Progeny Shiraz has a vibrant purple colour. The nose offers plenty of blackberry and ripe cherry aromas with an alluring lift of spice and pepper. The palate is typically rich and dense with layers of blackberry and plum fruit with a subtle hint of fennel spice and pepper. Delivering impressive structure and length of flavour, this has a freshness and approachability that makes it ready to go now.

Heathcote Wines
The Heathcote wine region in central Victoria is well known for its excellent red wines, most notably Shiraz. Heathcote reds are defined by their inky depth of colour, and deep, dark complex fruit flavours. This is combined with well balanced tannins and acid that help to give the wines great cellaring potential.
All this is made possible by the terroir. The Heathcote region sits at between 160m and 380m elevation with a temperate climate of even rainfall. The soils are rich in calcium red soils made up of “greenstone”. These soils are prized for their water retention capabilities allowing them to drain freely but still hold enough water throughout the growing season. The grapes that result are small and concentred which in turn make rich concentrated wines.
