Hunter Valley Semillon is one of Australia’s most iconic wine styles, and the 2019 De Iuliis Aged Semillon is an excellent value example of why this wine style continues to captivate. Released after five years of careful cellaring, this wine showcases the magic that time brings to Hunter Semillon.
The 2021 Aged Semillon is sourced from the sandy creek flats of the Garden vineyard. It's a complex wine with delicate citrus notes, a soft, honeyed richness, and a bright acid core. The 2019 vintage produced low yields but exceptional quality, resulting in a wine that is golden and luscious yet still lively and fresh.
This Semillon is perfect to enjoy now, though it promises to evolve beautifully over the next decade.
