An exceptionally complex and savoury single vineyard pinot noir from the stony soils of North Canterbury.
Light ruby with bright pink reflections, this wine exhibits profound complexity despite its bright and youthful nature, defined by notes of white mushroom, dark cherry and freshly-turned earth.
Though it is a relatively young vineyard, Bedford Estate is planted with top three pinot noir clones: Abel, Dijon 777 and Dijon 943. Grapes were harvested and fermented by clone to unleash the full potential of each clone before they were blended and bottled. This method gave rich depth and complexity to the wine.
