The Barringwood Estate Pinot Gris 2022 is a bright, clear, pale straw colour with tinges of green. The nose hints aromas of citrus and pears. The palate is with lemon and pear with floral notes. A long clean backbone of bright cool climate acidity and minerality. Pair this wine with white fleshed fish, molluscs, pork belly, fresh curd goats cheese. Enjoy now or cellar for the next 3-5 years.
Barringwood vineyard is located on a steep north facing slope over looking the Don Valley in Tasmania’s North West. Established in 1993 the vineyard rises to an elevation of 280m and has a long mild growing season perfectly suited to growing flavoursome aromatic wine with a great minerality and acid balance.
